PLANT CONTROLLER - PRINCETON OPERATIONS - PRINCETON, IL This position will provide financial guidance and support to the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) General Manager, Plant Manager and partner with other plant leaders to provide financial, business, and administrative support services which are critical to the achievement of operational and financial objectives. We are looking for a hands-on leader with strong accounting, financial analysis, internal control, planning, and reporting skills as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. What You Will Do:
Lead on-site finance team and work with plant/SBU leadership team to set and drive execution of financial objectives, capital plans, and operational projects. Monthly report out of budget/forecast variances by department and follow up actions to meet targets. Submits required financial reports, forecasts, and analyses in accordance with Regional and Corporate deadlines including STB and MOR. Partner with operations to manage operational and working capital metrics to meet and/or exceed facility goals. Align and ensure accurate productivity reporting on a monthly basis with finance, operation, and sourcing. Analyze actual results and forecasts and provides recommendations to management to drive business results in order to achieve plant/SBU financial goals. Lead month end close procedure and lead Day+3 monthly performance review calls with Region management. Develop a robust forecast with the goal of forecast accuracy of 90%
for revenue, operating income, and operating cash flow. Maintain a robust and effective internal control environment, including compliance to GAAP, FICAP, and Sarbanes Oxley internal controls requirements. Provide capital and investment project evaluation, including NPV and ROIC analysis. Maintain accurate documentation for financial close, standard setting, and all other financial processes and procedures. Identify and execute process improvements and digital/lean transformation opportunities. Must be able to effectively collaborate across the organization and positively influence business outcomes. Must effectively communicate with business leaders across all functional disciplines. Partner with operations to manage and oversee physical inventory and cycle counts and ensure proper controls are implemented and maintained relative to inventory controls. Maintain and improve the overall internal control environment and improve accuracy and safe-guarding of inventory, supplies, and fixed assets. What You Need to Succeed:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with MBA preferred 7-10 years experience in the finance function of a manufacturing environment Strong leadership, presentation skills, and ability to explain and communicate financial results to management in an understandable and actionable format for decision-making purposes. Strong computer and analytical skills.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Plant & Facilities ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
