CROP SCOUTING

Crop Scouting is a foundation of the ag industry.
Having in-field experience, self-motivation and experience with a reputable company allows you to move ahead of the competition.
In our crop scouting program Ag View will provide skills necessary for proper pest identification and crop-scouting techniques.
Crop growth and development, along with pest life cycle, damage symptoms and economic thresholds will be covered.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Drive and maintain company vehicle.

Inspect clients fields and record the condition of growing crops.
Identify and record growth stage, weed, insect and disease infestations and other pertinent information.

Report findings and observations by using Ag View s Scouting App.

Meet with salesman regularly to discuss field conditions.

Attend Scheduled training and meetings.

Assist with additional duties as time allows.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof and possess a basic understanding of production agriculture.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver s license, a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to travel independently as needed.

Occasionally exposed or required to work in extreme weather conditions.

)

Must be able to walk crop fields and conduct visual inspections of crops.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
